St Louis, Missouri – Accella Polyurethane Systems has expanded its TDI-based Tru-Motion Play series of products. It has introduced a replacement line of aromatic binders for pour-in-place safety surfaces for playgrounds.
The new binders have been developed to meet the needs of the wide range of climatic conditions that exist in the US. Four products are now available to provide optimal cure speed and working time across a broad spectrum of installation conditions.
The slowest-reacting binder in the series, Tru-Motion H3712 HH, is designed for installation in high temperatures and humidity. H3712 HT reacts slightly faster, and is intended for use in moderately high temperatures and humidity, while H3712 MT, is a more universal product that can be used in most normal conditions. Finally, H3712 DC is the fastest reacting binder, designed for low temperatures and humidity.
All the products are 100% solids, TDI-free, moisture cure polyurethane binders for use in the construction of bonded rubber granule-type safety and play surfaces. They are accompanied by an installation guide that advises which product to choose, based on temperature, humidity and cure speed.
“This approach will help our customers to select the best solution for the one thing that no one can predict; the weather,” said Robert Cunningham, the company’s vice president of R&D. “We are excited to offer this new and improved line to meet the industry demand for more versatile aromatic safety surface binders.”
