Polyurethane earnings improved despite high raw materials costs thanks to the improvement in volumes, BASF also stated. The group does not report earnings data for the division.BASF’s PU business is positioned with a Plastics segment which also includes styrenic and engeering plastics and fibre intermediates. The segment reported first quarter earnings of Euro265 million, 15 percent high than the same period last year.”
