By David Reed, UT EditorKazincbarcika, Hungary- BorsodChem Rt has decided not to pursue a possible acquisition of some or all of the activities of the Polish Zachem SA enterprise, one of Poland’s leading petrochemical concerns with some urethane-related operations.In a 9 Aug. statement, the firm’s ceo László Kovács said: BorsodChem Rt. has analysed the Zachem SA privatisation opportunity and its participation therein.”However, after having evaluated the technical and economic analyses, the decision made by the Board of BorsodChem Rt. is that it will cease to continue in the further privatisation process,” Kovács added. BorsodChem has notified NAFTA Polska SA, which is responsible for the privatisation, in an official letter,” his statement concluded.”
