Shanghai, China — Elitecore Machinery Manufacturing, a maker of polyurethane foaming and cutting equipment based in Dongguan, Guangdong province, is planning to launch a high-pressure foaming line next year which it claims will be China’s first.
The company told UTECH-polyurethane.com in an exclusive interview at the PU China exhibition held 3-5 September 2014 in Shanghai.
“The technology for most of our machinery is jointly developed with oversea partners,” said Cai Jinxiang, sales director of Elitecore. “We have a rather high research expenditure which could bring risks in this comparatively small sector.”
The company has been focusing on the oversea markets since its foundation and only started selling in China two years ago.
“The owner of our company used to be in foreign trade and has already built up great connections in the oversea markets, and we are doing particularly well in Turkey,” Cai said.
“Besides being previously connected, Turkish people and Chinese people also have long established trust,” added Erhan Asku, vice general manager of the company and a Turkish national.
“Plus, Turkey and China are both Asian countries with a lot of cultural similarity, and there is only a 5-hour time difference, which makes the communication much easier,” Asku said.
According to Cai, the company delivered an RMB20m ($3.3m) revenue in 2013 and currently has less than 100 employees.
