By Liz White, UT staffEverberg, Belgium-Huntsman Holland BV informed customers that it had declared force majeure on MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate) 3 May, a Huntsman spokesperson confirmed 17 May. “The force majeure is still in place,” said the spokesperson, but “we hope it is going to be lifted very shortly.” Hunstman’s announcement followed a declaration of force majeure in supply of raw materials for making MDI by one of its suppliers. No customers have gone without material, he stressed, explaining that delivery schedules have, however, had to be rearranged. “
