Guangzhou, China – Italian machinery component supplier Kronn has moved into sandwich panel line construction following changes to the Italian machinery production sector.
The firm, which has supplied components for several years, has gained a number of key technicians from a recently bankrupt firm there, said Emanuele Buson.
‘We are growing very quickly; the market is very good in South America and Europe,’ Buson said.
Buson said he believes his firm’s strength is in the fluid handling and dispensing part of the machine. ’We have a very good wet part, we have a Ferrari,’ he said.
Kronn was a parts supplier to an OEM and employs 25 people. ‘Now we are making our own machines,’ he said.
In the past, Buson said his firm, which has traded for around 20 years has supplied components to PU.MA. It was this know-how and an influx of technicians which, he said, give him and his firm the confidence to enter the panel market. The company offers discontinuous and continuous lines designed to work with a number of materials including polyurethane, mineral wool and polystyrene. They are used in the construction and cold-chain sector, he said.
The company is finding buyers at re-sellers or manufacturers of insulated sandwich panels, he said. It makes sense, he continued, for companies dealing with more than 400,000 m2/year to invest in their own lines, he added.
Buson said that his firm has developed an iPad-controlled machine that can give daily updates to factory management or owners.
‘We are innovating for the market,’ he said.
Buson was upbeat about PUChina and said he was going to visit a customer in Beijing after the event had finished.
