By Liz White, UT staffLanghorne, Pennsylvania-Nesco Industries Inc has bought various rights from Dicon Technologies to make and distribute a patented line of commercial, industrial and medical products-mostly polyurethane-based. Through its subsidiary, Hydrogel Design Systems Inc., Nesco has agreed with H.H. Brown Shoe Technologies Inc. (Dicon’s parent) to acquire exclusive rights to make Dicon’s patented hydrophilic urethane foam products, polyurethane gels and moisture-managed foam footwear inserts. Nesco will, along with Dicon, be able to distribute these products in North America. HDS currently produces crosslinked polymer gels for the woundcare and transdermal drug delivery markets. Under the agreeent HDS will will purchase equipment from Dicon to manufacturing the products. They are sold for cosmetic, medical, and household uses-including the foot care market-under the board name DRYZ(r). “
