Fairfax, Virginia – In the light of recent significant floods in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico resulting from hurricanes, the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) has published a TechTip for contractors to aid in the construction of flood-resistant walls.
The TechTip, ‘Flood-resistant construction using closed-cell SPF’, provides a list of resources for the remediation of flood-damaged buildings. It also contains information on rebuilding techniques that will create flood-resistant walls. These walls are designed to dry more quickly, and have a special emphasis on flood-resistant insulations such as closed-cell SPF.
The TechTip can be found on the association’s website, at http://www.sprayfoam.org/technical/spfa-tech-tips
