Fuqing, Fujian –Fujian Southeast Electrochemical (FSE) finished its phase-one capacity expansion project in January 2014 with a 100kT/year capacity for TDI, a 120kT/year capacity for caustic soda and a 100kT/year capacity for PVC.
The project was started in 2010 and is located at the Jiangyin Economic Development Zone in Fuqing, Fujian province. The company has pumped RMB4bn ($656mn) into the project and expects it to bring in RMB4bn revenue each year.
FSE is also adding new facilities in the same area including a 100kT/year TDI line and a 130kT/year PC line with RMB4.7bn earmarked. The TDI line is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2015 and the PC line at the end of 2017, according to the company’s technical planning department.
A state-owned company affiliated to Fujian Petrochemical Industrial Group, FSE claims to be the largest manufacturer of chlorine feedstock in Fujian province and a leading player in China’s chlorine sector.
