Shanghai, China – Jiahua Chemicals plans to run its 120kT/year polyether polyol project in Shanghai at close to nameplate capacity by the end of this year, the company told UTECH-polyurethane.com in an exclusive interview at UTECH Asia 2016.
Yubo Li, vice president, confirmed that the company started its new production line on 19 June 2016 and is operating at 30 to 40% of capacity, this is being ramped up and should reach 70 to 80% by the end of September
Headquartered in Fushun, Liaoning, Jiahua has four other manufacturing sites located along China’s eastern coast, including the Shanghai plant. It also makes surfactants and construction materials with over 500kT/year flexible capacity currently.
The company sells to all continents and last year over half of its revenue came from the domestic market.
