Yantai, Shandong – Wanhua has signed engineering design and procurement contracts for its Bajiao Lingang industrial park-based 300kT/year TDI (toluene diisocyanate) facilities with Hualu Engineering and Technology.
The announcement was made by Hualu’s parent company, China National Chemical Engineering Company, on 4 December, 2014.
The contracted projects are expected to take 32 months with a total cost of RMB1.7bn ($272m), according to the announcement.
TDI is used in the production of flexible foam.
