From Rubber & Plastics NewsWyandotte, Michigan-BASF Corp. is to raise prices for its polyurethane systems materials in North America by 6 cents a pound for bulk and pressurised cylinder deliveries effective 1 April.The price for the materials for steel drum packaged deliveries will increase by 8 cents, primarily because of a significant rise in steel costs, the company said. Those increases are also effective 1 AprilRising raw material and energy costs is the primary reason for the increases, according to Joe Steiner, director of BASF’s Polyurethane Systems business in North America. “
