Montpelier, France – Coval has added polyurethane suction pads to its range of materials handling equipment for composites.
The company said that the pads are ultra-flat and offer an ‘innovative vacuum distribution on the suction pad surface. This ensures optimum gripping without leavening any traces of deformation’.
The new pads are designed to help companies handle composite products without causing distortion or marking on the composite surface.

The VPSC pads are available in polyurethane with Shore A hardness of 60. These are designed to resist hydrocarbons and to be a long-life option, the company added.
The cups are available in two diameters, 40 and 80 mm, with a female thread made of aluminium.
Coval employs 120 people and had sales in 2016 of EUR 16.5m ($119 m). It makes its vacuum cups in Montpelier, France and has subsidiaries in Spain, Italy, Germany, the US and China.
