Ursensollen, Germany – The Bavarian State minister of Economic Affairs, Hubert Aiwanger, laid the foundation stone of a new building for Grammer in early December.
The company makes commercial vehicle seats. It said the site will house development for this business, and also its automotive businesses. It will also be the company’s headquarters. The site will house 700 people in a four-storey building covering 40,000 m2.
Hartmut Muller, Grammer’s CEO, said the enlarged research and development activities was a sign to the the global automotive industry. ‘My company is an innovative development partner,’ he added.
Meanwhile, at the opening, Aiwanger said: ‘This investment proves again that rural regions can generate highly attractive, qualified jobs.’
