Jiangsu, China – Honeywell opened its largest plant for protective gloves in Nantong, Jiangsu province on 4 December. The facility produces protective gear including polyurethane gloves, nitrile rubber gloves, gloves with PVC dots and knitted gloves.
Phase one of the project covers 23,639 square meters with $15 million (EUR7.5m) investment and 60m pair/year capacity. The whole project’s capacity is expected to reach 100 m/year.
Honeywell claims to be the world’s largest provider of personal protective equipment. Gloves manufactured in the Nantong plant (part of its Automation and Control Solutions) are used in the electronics, automobile, machinery processing, food processing and petrochemical sectors.
