Popesti-Leordeni, Romania – Italian-owned PU sandwich panel maker Isopan Est expanded its sales in 2018 to EUR 52m, up 30% compared with a year earlier, by boosting its exports, according to company representatives.
In 2019, the company, which owns a factory in Romania, is on track to further expand its sales as its export sales have reached 52% of its total production this year. Isopan Est has launched a new production line with the aim to cover the rising demand for its products.
The new production line ‘brought a shorter delivery time and completed our product range,’ a representative of Isopan Est told local business daily Ziarul Financiar.
The value of the expansion project was not disclosed.
In addition to the domestic market, the manufacturer exports its products to a number of nearby countries. These include Bulgaria, Slovakia, Hungary, Ukraine, Moldova, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Montenegro, according to data released by Isopan Est.
Isopan Est is a subsidiary of Italy’s Gruppo Isopan with its headquarters in Verona. The holding says that it owns production facilities operated by offshoots in Germany, Spain, Russia, Mexico, and Romania. Gruppo Isopan also runs commercial offices in France and the Czech Republic. The group’s nine production and commercial facilities, operated by a workforce of some 450 employees, generate revenues of about €200m per year, as indicated by figures from Gruppo Isopan.
