Warsaw – Sebastian Kulczyk has become the controlling shareholder of Ciech, which owns Polish foamer Pianki.
Sebastian Kulczyk and Dominika Kulczyk gained the shares in the will of Jan Kulczyk.
The shares, which amount to 51% of Ciech are held indirectly by a Cypriot company, Luglio.
Under Cypriot law, Sebastian Kulczyk has been named the senior shareholder in Luglio. This means that although Sebastian and Dominika have 50% each of Luglio, Sebastian wields the voting rights in Ciech.
Neither Sebastian nor Dominika held any shares in Ciech before they gained their inheritance.
The Cypriot company Luglio owns all the shares of KI Chemistry, which is based in Luxembourg and owns 51.14% of Ciech.
