Lsekovac, Serbia — Serbia-based PU and PIR sandwich panel maker TeraSteel has started a new production line.
The line is part of its facility in Leskovac, south Serbia.
The production line will make insulated panels for markets in southeastern EU and the balkans, according to the information obtained by local news site Seenews.com.
TeraSteel is part of Romania’s TeraPlast group. The group invested in Serbia last year through the purchase of an existing factory operated by local company Interlemind.
TeraSteel started production in October 2017, and has made more than 1 m sq. ft. (9.3 ha) of PU foam-insulated panels since then.
On a related note, earlier this month, TeraPlast obtained EUR 6.8m in funding from the Romanian government. This will be used to finance further production expansion.
The group’s largest company, plastic products manufacturer TeraPlast, is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. It claims claims to be the largest PVC processor in Romania.
