Dallas, North Carolina – The opening of an R&D and production site in North Carolina by Italian-headquartered Repi two-and-a-half years ago has led to a tripling in US turnover, according to Michael Rath, the company’s managing director for polyurethane.
“We are not only a European company, we are a US company, and our future for growth is here,” Rath said. “From the US we have the opportunity to go to Canada, Mexico and Latin America, which is more difficult from Europe.”
The company now offers high concentration pigment dispersions, including black, that enable the addition rate to be reduced. “This is an opportunity for customers to reduce costs,” Rath added.
Rath was speaking on the sidelines of UTECH North America 2016 which ran in Charlotte, North Carolina from 6-7 April 2016.
